Healthy Cooking Classes

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be dull and low calorie cooking doesn’t have to take hours!

The Center for Nutrition and Metabolism is excited to offer healthy cooking classes as an expanded nutrition service to our clients!  Catherine Gerweck, MS, RD offers a monthly class focusing on a different food and nutrition topic each month. 

Catherine Gerweck MS, RD is currently a practicing Registered Dietitian at the Center for Nutrition and Metabolism.  Catherine is a graduate of the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts in Cambridge, Massachusetts and has taught professional chef courses there, as well as at the New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vermont.  Additionally, she owned a private catering business in New Hampshire before training to become a Registered Dietitian. 

 
Healthy Cooking Class Schedule - 2008

February 11th - Healthy Soups
March - No Class Scheduled
April 21st - Light Desserts
May - No Class Scheduled
June - No Class Scheduled

 

Classes are held one Monday each month and are approximately 1 ½  hours in length. 
Cost is $30 per class*. 

Class sign-up period occurs over the 7 days prior to the scheduled cooking class. 
Class size is limited and you must call ahead to reserve a space. 

*If you currently have the Public Employees Benefit Program (PEBP) PPO Insurance plan, class fees can be covered under the annual $2,500 Wellness Benefit.
